Matt Hassler

Matt grew up in Scarborough, Maine, spending his days on the water as a commercial shellfish harvester and learning carpentry alongside his father, Tom. From an early age, he developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for quality construction, blending his hands-on building skills with a love for the outdoors.

In 2017 Matt graduated from The University of Maine Civil Engineering program with a concentration in structural design. Shortly after, he pursued his passion for the water and sustainability by founding Saltwind Seafarm, an oyster farm based in Pine Point. In 2018, Matt couldn’t resist following his passion for carpentry as well, taking over Hassler Custom Builders and redirecting the companies focus towards new construction, additions, and renovations.

With over a decade of experience, Matt personally works on every project while managing each stage, ensuring precision, quality, and attention to detail. Outside of work, he enjoys cruising Casco Bay with his wife and friends, fishing for tuna and stripers, and snowmobiling during the winter months.
